The Catholic Education Center, LLC, offers Online Catechist Formation
Courses, which can be used towards Catechist Certifcation in the Diocese of
Knoxville, TN.  The content of these courses has been approved by the Diocese.
The Online Certification Courses are designed for  teachers and parish
catechists who cannot attend the on site training. The Courses include:

2008-2009:
CATH001: Catholicism - Part I (Knoxville - Year 1 Fall Course)
CATH002: Catholicism - Part 2 (Knoxville - Year 1 Spring Course)
2009-2010:
CATH003: Catholicism - Part 3 (Knoxville - Year 2 Fall Course)
CATH004: Catholicism - Part 4 (Knoxville - Year 2 Spring Course)
2010-2011:
CATH005: Catholicism - Part 5 (Knoxville - Year 3 Fall Course)
CATH006: Catholicism - Part 6 (Knoxville - Year 3 Spring Course)

Teachers and catechists who have already obtained Catechist Certification, may
renew or maintain their certification by taking any of the other online courses
offered by the Catholic Education Center.  The current offerings include:

CAT103: The Sacraments
CAT104: The Moral Life
CAT105: The Life of Prayer
CAT201: The General Directory for Catechesis
CAT202: The Teaching Church: Part I
CAT203: The Teaching Church: Part II
CAT204: The Teaching Church: Part III
CAT205: Tools for Teachers

To register for these courses, please download THIS FORM, fill it in and mail it
to the address on the form.  To receive a scholarship from the Diocese of
Knoxville, you will need the signature of your Principal or DRE. You will
receive verification of your registration as well as a user name and password
to enter the online classroom  by email (please add us to your address book:
